HENRIQUE

BRISBANE ROAR

HENRIQUE

Brisbane Roar fan favourite, Henrique Andrade Silva is known for his fierce attacking skills on the field, ability to change the direction of a game in seconds and scoring when the team needs it the most. Over the years he’s spent in the orange jersey he has become a significant part of the Club, developing a great connection and following from fans across the A-League, particularly in Brisbane. Regularly referred to as "The Slippery Fish" for his on-field skills, he is a clear fan favourite.

The Brazilian born pocket rocket played professionally in his home country for six years before coming to Brisbane in 2009. Now Henrique is regarded as one of the more experienced players in the squad with 157 A-League appearances behind him. He’s the Roar's second all-time goal scorer, two of which were the winning goals in two A-League Grand Finals, and currently holds the A-League's all-time record for most goals scored off of the bench.

Henrique is regarded as a critical player in the Roar’s three Hyundai A-League Championship wins for the 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2013/14 seasons as well as their Premiership winning team in 2010/11 and 2013/14.  The Roar is basically in his blood, and he has made the fourth most appearances by any player in the Club history.

After eight years with the Brisbane Roar, Henrique left the Club for a new challenge and signed with Negeri Sembilan in the Malaysian Super League. Henrique came back to Australia a year later for a short stint with A-League’s Adelaide United, playing 13 games with the team before departing again overseas to join Thai League Club, Chiangrai United. Now he is proudly back in orange and A-League fans are keen to see the Slippery Fish in action.

TESTIMONIAL

“On behalf of BRFC, I would like to say how delighted we are to have such a quality footballer return to our side. Henrique is a winner who is adored by our supporters and the local football community in Brisbane.

Having seen him in action at training this week and speaking to Riki personally, I know how hungry he is to help us be successful this season and we are rapt to have him back.

He's played a significant role in our Club's successful past and I'm sure he can't wait to get back out onto Suncorp Stadium this weekend.”

John Aloisi, Head Coach of Brisbane Roar FC
