Barrie Lester

Barrie Lester is a professional Australian lawn bowler, and Commonwealth Games medallist.

​

Making his international debut in 2006, Barrie has won Bronze at the 2006 Commonwealth Games (pairs), Silver at the 2016 World Bowls Championships (triples & fours), Silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games (triples & fours), and most recently Silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games (triples). Barrie has made over 250 international appearances for Australia throughout his career.

In 2022, Barrie was awarded with an Australian Sports Medal for his achievements and contributions to the sport.

​

Living in Queensland, Barrie works with bowls clubs spending his time increasing participation in the sport. Barrie also has his own wine range, Blest Wines. He is an ambassador for the BA Disaster Relief Fund and works with other charities.
